Me with caribou horns in Anaktuvuk Pass near the village of Anaktuvuk. My daughter Megan, a professional tour guide at that time, brought me here as one of her regular tourists. The Pass crosses the continental divide in the Brooks Range. It separates Alaska's North Slope to the north from the Yukon River Valley to the south. Anaktuvuk Pass is one of the planet's magical places.
